Version 0.011 Updates


Pre-alpha 0.011 (6/8/2024)

  • New zones: Dark Wood, New Haven
  • Persistent mob states before/after battle until leaving area
  • Enemy AI adjusted, will chase player and flee when player is lost
  • New Dialog/Looting system, more responsive and modular
  • Shops: Buy + Sell items


> Dialog system was fully refactored and made into a more modular version to support NPC, treasure, and Shop system. Added in NPC shops to buy/sell that should be easily scaled from running off scriptable object shop lists. Had to go back into the Inventory scripting and fix a few errors that presented but now everything should be much more stable. 

 > Spent time tweaking how the enemies operate in the world. The game will now keep track of which fights are complete and won't reset the enemies until you leave the map area. Also, added a flying owl enemy that will swoop down from the trees to engage player in battle if player crosses path. 


Current Gameplay:

 Now you can start from the title screen -> select new/load a file -> load into the first real stage (no more test area) -> get into some battles -> earn gold -> Go spend the gold in town on some gear!


Next up: Experience gain and level system fixes, main menu tweaks (fix item menu navigation)
